Midfielder confirms Chelsea move

Partizan Belgrade midfielder Danilo Pantic has confirmed he has signed for Chelsea for a fee in the region of £1.25million.

Blues scouts have been watching the Serbian closely for the last few months and a move to Stamford Bridge this month looked possible.

And now the 18-year-old has confirmed the move, with the midfielder set to spend the remainder of the season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem.

"As an 18-year-old it's hard to get a chance at Chelsea straight away," he said.

"I already know a lot about Vitesse. It's a big club where many young players play and games will be played offensively.

"If I play well at Vitesse, then I will go back to Chelsea."
